La Habra Heights Dial-A-Ride 562.694.5909 Note: New Number starting August 1, 2009 - 562.698.3013 The City of La Habra Heights Dial-a-Ride van offers curb-to-curb service that operates throughout La Habra Heights, La Habra and portions of Whittier. There is also a special service to the Brea Mall and to St. Jude Medical Center. Before you plan a trip, here are some key things you will need to know: 1. It serves La Habra Heights’ seniors (60+) and disabled persons 2. It operates Monday thru Friday 9 a. m. to 6 p.m.; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. 3. You must register to use the service. Application forms may be obtained from and returned to La Habra Heights City Hall (Dial-A-Ride will provide a free ride to City Hall to any first-time customer wishing to apply). 4. After registration, fare cards can be purchased at La Habra Heights City Hall for $10 and $20 and must be purchased in advance since drivers cannot accept cash. Rides are $1 per one-way trip (except St. Jude Medical Center and Brea Mall, which are $2 per one-way trip). 5. A person who assists you in boarding and exiting the vehicle rides for free, and must be 18 years or older. Up to two companions (non-eligible riders) may ride along with you for $2 per one-way trip each (charged to the customer's fare card). Bus Routes Information OCTA - Orange County Transit Authority MTA - Metropolitan Transportation Authority Airport Shuttle Information Karmel Shuttle Karmel Shuttle provides a 30% discount on shuttle service to most Southern California airports to residents of La Habra Heights. Stop by City Hall to complete an application at least one week before flight departure. You must provide valid photo identification to receive the discount. Rates are subject to change and do not include driver's gratuity or additional charges such as: extra luggage, international arrivals or car seats. |
